Organized crime and clan-related criminal activity represent a growing threat to internal security in several European countries. The structures of these criminal organizations are often complex, transnationally networked, and difficult to penetrate.
This seminar provides a comprehensive overview of current developments, specific challenges, and best practices in combating these phenomena. In addition to analyzing networks, operational methods, and the spheres of influence of criminal actors, the seminar will cover the legal foundations of international cooperation and illustrate them with case studies of cross-border collaboration.
Case studies and experiences from various European countries will complement the theoretical presentations. Successful approaches to the prevention and combat of clan-related and organized crime will be presented and discussed.
